ABOUT SIDEDESK
Built by people who know the work behind the work.
SideDesk is run by twin sisters MJ and Gee. We built it around a simple belief: running a business shouldn’t feel heavier than it needs to.
SideDesk came from knowing
that weight firsthand.
Building a business creates work you expect.
Then it creates everything around that work. While building SideDesk and The Founder Desk, MJ knows that reality well. One idea can turn into a page that needs building, a process that needs figuring out, decisions that need making, details that need documenting, and another five things that now need somewhere to live. And somehow, they all circle back to the same person.
That perspective shapes SideDesk.
We’re here to take real ownership of the work surrounding a business, so fewer things depend on the founder remembering, chasing, organizing, building, or holding everything together themselves.
Not by adding more complexity. By making the work clearer, giving it somewhere to go, and getting it done.
Meet MJ & Gee

MJ
FOUNDER
MJ leads SideDesk’s operations, systems, technical work, structure, and more complex execution.
She’s naturally the person asking how something works, where it belongs, and whether there’s a simpler way to do it. If there’s a process to untangle, a system to build, or something unfamiliar that needs figuring out, it usually lands on her side of the desk.

Gee
OPERATIONS SUPPORT
Gee keeps the recurring side of SideDesk moving: administrative work, coordination, upkeep, follow-through, and the day-to-day execution that still needs someone consistently paying attention.
She brings steadiness to the details: keeping things organized, picking up what needs handling, and making sure the everyday work doesn’t quietly get left behind.
Different strengths.
One working rhythm.
Being twins isn’t the interesting part.
What matters to SideDesk is that we know how to work together. We communicate naturally, know where each other’s strengths are,
and can move between our responsibilities without everything needing to become a meeting.
That gives SideDesk a dependable foundation behind the work clients trust us with.
Most days, it looks a lot like this.
We like things that work.
Not systems that look impressive but nobody wants to use. Not another tool when a simpler process would do the job. We believe good work is usually built on a few practical things:
Keep it usable.
A system only helps if people can actually follow it. We’d rather build something simple that gets used than something elaborate that gets abandoned.
Write it down.
Support should mean more than waiting for the next instruction. Once responsibility is clear, we take it seriously and keep the work moving.
Own the work.
Support should mean more than waiting for the next instruction. Once responsibility is clear, we take it seriously and keep the work moving.
Finish well.
Not everything needs endless polishing. It does need care, attention, and proper follow-through.
Growing carefully, on purpose.
As SideDesk grows, the team will too. But adding capacity shouldn’t mean losing the way we work.
MJ personally trains new team members in SideDesk’s processes, expectations, and approach to the work. The goal is simple: more people should give us more capacity without making the experience feel less thoughtful, consistent, or personal. We’d rather grow carefully and protect the standard of the work than build a bigger team simply for the sake of looking bigger.
Your business doesn’t need more moving parts.
It needs the right ones taken care of. Tell us what’s sitting with you. We’ll see where SideDesk can take ownership.
